The functionality puush has to offer can be divided into two categories: screen capture and sharing. By using the corresponding hotkey you can use the application to capture whatever is displayed on the screen; puush can take a screenshot of the entire screen, of a window, or of a specific region. The screenshot you take will be automatically uploaded to the web, to your puush account. You can share the URL of the screenshot with others and on top of that, you can upload files and share them with others.

puush is available for Windows and for Mac OS X. The Windows installation file is only 1MB in size, so downloading it won’t take much of your time. Run this file and you will be presented with a setup wizard that will guide you through the steps you need to take in order to get puush up and running – this won’t take long either. Once you’re finished with the installation, you will have to set up a puush account – this is a simple process that, won’t take much of your time.

While the application is running you will see a puush icon in the system tray. Double click that icon and you will be presented with the settings menu that allows you to choose if you want puush to run at startup, play a notification sound, change the screen capture hotkeys, and more. Right click the system tray icon and you will be presented with a menu that, among other things, allows you to see the screenshots you captured.

To take a screenshot, you just need to use the associated hotkey or, if you don’t want to remember the hotkeys, you can capture a region, a window, or the entire screen from the puush system tray icon. By default, the application automatically uploads the screenshot to the web after it takes it. You can view the screenshot in your browser and you can copy the link to the screenshot and paste it in an IM or email. So to recap, puush takes screenshots and uploads them to the web so you can easily share them with others.

On top of that, puush also allows you to upload files to the web. Once uploaded, the files can be shared with others. A Free puush account allows you to upload a total of 200MB; the files cannot be larger than 20MB. By getting a Pro account, you can upload files up to 250MB in size and your total account storage will not be limited.

Quickly take a screenshot and just as quickly share it with others. puush does that with the greatest of ease.

Pros

puush is available for Windows and Mac OS X. It takes little time to install the application and create a puush account. The application takes a screenshot and automatically uploads it to your account; you can share the URL to the screenshot with others. You can also upload files and share the URL so others can download said files.

Cons

None that I could think of.
